Howard B. Richman, Founder
Howard B. Richman is an unlikely expert in the field of weight loss since 1984. He is a naturally-thin person who is a pioneer in the field of “non-diet” weight management, which addresses the hidden emotional and spiritual influences of the issue. He is the author of Weight-Loss and the Art of Focusing, Act Thin, Be Thin, the creator of the Slim Photo motivational tool and the composer of the Feeling Fat cellular-release music. His work as an empowerment coach helps people to break through their most stubborn blocks. His approach to weight loss is as unconventional as he is. Mr. Richman’s formal training is in music. He studied to be a concert pianist. Howard B. Richman has a B.A. Degree from UCLA in piano performance and an M.F.A. degree (Master Fine Arts) degree from California Institute of the Arts, where he also taught on the faculty for three years. Since 1982 he has pioneered a transformational approach to music relaxation which sensitized him to the connection between the mind and the body. This sensitivity is evident in his understanding of the non-diet issues regarding weight loss.
Howard B. Richman is married to Cherie Valaray, who is an actress and an opera singer. Together, they have a daughter, Danica Richman. Howard also has a son, Oliver Richman from a previous marriage, who is a highly-talented singer and actor. Mr. Richman’s father is well-known actor, Peter Mark Richman.
